Jacques André

Jacques André in May 1946. Jacques André (25 February 1919 – 2 April 1988) was a French fighter pilot in the Normandie-Niemen Regiment, which flew on the Eastern Front of World War II. He was one of four French citizens awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

After World War II he competed in the men's 400 metres hurdles at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Provided by Wikipedia
